Bylnice – Brumov Castle
The town of Brumov-Bylnice is located in the district of Zlín, in the valley of the river Brumovka in the White Carpathians, about 6 km south of Valašské Klobouky. The first evidence of settlement dates back to the early Stone Age. In the first half of the 13th century, a late Romanesque royal castle was built here. Brumov Castle, located in the tourist-attractive Protected Landscape Area of the White Carpathians, is a popular destination for visitors from near and far. Its walls offer a view not only of the historic center of Brumov, but also towards the mountains bordering the valley of the Vlára Pass. The fortification amphitheater has undergone a well-deserved revitalization – visitors can sit on modern benches and enjoy the picturesque view.
